Description

You will take a pivotal role in the design, build and management of the on-premise servers (Windows), virtualisation (Hyper-V) and our cloud infrastructure (Azure). This includes working on both physical and virtual hardware.
- Ensuring scalability, reliability and security of our infrastructure and collaborating with cross functional teams to meet business requirements.
- Monitoring and maintain the performance and availability of our infrastructure including regular maintenance such as patching and updates.
- Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect our infrastructure including ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Leading infrastructure projects from initiation to completion
- Ensuring our network and infrastructure documentation is grown and kept up to date for team reference and audit.
- Reporting on infrastructure performance, incident and improvement
Profile
- Deep understanding of Networks.
- Ability to carry out patching in a server room/office.
- A good understanding of Microsoft products, Office 365, Active Directory
- A good understanding of Hypervisors including VMware, Hyper-V and Nutanix
- Experience with networking equipment such as Cisco Meraki switches and firewalls.
- Experience of working with, and troubleshooting, wired and wireless networks with a good understanding of TCP/IP.
- Strong Windows Server knowledge (AD, Exchange, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, DFS, File Server).
- Telecoms experience, preferably but not essential 3CX
- Good networking experience across LAN, WAN & WLAN; with working knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS.
- Cloud experience would be hugely desirable - particularly with Azure.
- Understanding of Backup Strategy
