Project Manager - Cloud and Infrastructure

Length - 6 months

Location - Hybrid 1/2 days a week in London

IR35 status - OutsideWorking closely Technology teams and business stakeholders, the purpose of this Project management role is to coordinate the delivery of a number of significant changes we are making to our Cloud landing zones and build pipeline. This will involve some detailed planning and design phases, and the engagement of multiple teams who will contribute to the design, and execution of this change.Key Deliverables.

  • Working closely with the Director of Cloud and Infrastructure and architecture stakeholders to define a plan to drive the delivery of Technology designs and artifacts.
  • Scheduling review meetings to ensure that appropriate stakeholders sign off high- and low-level designs.
  • Helping to build a resource plan to ensure that we have the right capabilities in place to deliver what we promise throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinating internal and external resources, and vendors in executing the delivery of the changes we propose to our AWS environment.
  • Operating a RAID log to ensure that risks and dependencies are effectively recorded, mitigated, and addressed accordingly.
  • Effective operational change and handover of the new cloud infrastructure capabilities.
  • Collaborating with the key stakeholders to produce regular reports, and communication in line with the plan.

Responsibilities.

  • Working with key stakeholders to define what architectural artefacts, guides and best practices need to be in place to begin execution.
  • Identifying key stakeholders who need to be engaged to ensure that the project is successful and meets its key goals (Delivery of a target operating model).
  • Build of a resourcing plan to ensure that we have the right resources to do the job, and that they are available to execute the changes required.
  • Build and ownership of a RAID log to ensure that all risks, actions, issues, and dependencies are mapped and addresses in line with the planned timelines.
  • Building and delivering a communications plan and reporting framework for continued use and execution throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordination of meetings and workshops in line with project deliverables.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience of managing Enterprise level change projects.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent co-ordination and planning skills.
  • Experience of using JIRA as a planning tool.
  • Experience of running Agile projects at scale with multiple engineering teams.
  • Excellent report writing, and maintenance of RAID logs within the project.
