Data Business Partner

We are looking for a talented Data Business Partner to help pro-actively drive data strategy for a geographical region within our broking business. This role will drive a programme of work to understand stakeholders' requirements and bridge the gap between the business and technical staff. Sitting in the Group Data function, this role has a global remit to support our data initiatives and adoption, co-ordinating with teams across the world. Responsibilities include managing varying requirements, capturing potential revenue-generative data solutions, managing wider dependencies, driving synergies and executing Group Data strategic initiatives. To be successful in the role requires balancing a strategic outlook with changing business demand, through a consultative and collaborative approach, positively reacting to change.

Key responsibilities

  • Identifying and driving benefits from data and case studies looking to generate revenue, capturing benefit and ROI.
  • Scoping out landscape, baseline and country health-check comparisons within region.
  • Understanding what data is in the Data Lake and how this can be leveraged, including looking for common opportunities.
  • Enabling regional colleagues to complete reporting tasks with PowerBI using data from the Data Lake, understanding content and how to get value out of it.
  • Being the point person for Data Quality and remediation, bringing this to life with relevant KPIs and metrics.
  • Stakeholder management close to commercial C-Suite and utilising Chief Data Officer for escalation, communication and resolution.
  • Understanding all dependencies and overlapping systems e.g. CRM, Broking platforms etc.
  • Sharing best practice and alignment across other Business Partners, regions and other influential stakeholders such as General Managers.
  • Working as the bridge with data data ingestion teams to manage roadmap for new data to be added to the Data Lake and in what priority order.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience in Business Analysis / PMO/Data Business Partner role.
  • Commercial evidence of previous Return-on-Investment activities and initiatives.
  • Stakeholder management experience at C-Suite level.
  • Demonstrable experience of large-scale Programme development and delivery.
  • Extensive experience managing and coaching diverse teams to deliver business outcomes.
  • Understanding of the Insurance industry.
  • Knowledge and experience of delivery in an Agile environment.
