Are you an experienced Data Governance Manager looking for a new opportunity? We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our client's organisation on a temporary basis. As the Data Governance Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing a data governance framework that aligns with the organisation's overall strategy and objectives.

Key responsibilities:

Lead the design and implementation of practical data governance solutions to support organisational needs within the Housing Service, with linkages across the Council.Develop organisational key data recording standard requirements to ensure good records that support the business and demonstrate compliance with national standards.Support the delivery of asset and person data strategies and related data frameworks.Apply data governance to optimise the safety and value of data throughout the data life cycle.Implement and establish wider data management competencies within the service.Create and implement data quality standards, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency.Advocate for better use and management of data within the organisation, particularly regarding sensitive data.Foster a data-driven culture, promoting data literacy across the organisation.Catalogue, monitor, and identify essential data assets.Assign ownership of data, ensuring clear accountability and responsibilities within the organisation.Incorporate governance of data into routine processes across the service.

Requirements:

Proven experience in data governance and management.Strong knowledge of data policies, processes, and standards.Familiarity with data quality standards and practises.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to foster a data-driven culture and promote data literacy.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
