Head of Data, Data Governance Lead, Compliance, Professional Services, Part Remote

Head of Data required to work for a Professional Services organisation based in the City of London. However, this is part remote where you will be expected to be in the office circa 3 days per week.

Due to the sensitive nature of the business, we need someone from a like for like industry within Professional Services (Accountancy, Insurance, Legal / Law Firm).

The Head of Data is a brand new position created, that will collaborate with partners and staff across the company to develop and deliver a data strategy that will manage data risks and exploit opportunities, enhance operational efficiency, and support strategic business growth. We need someone proven who has done this kind of thing before.

Solid Business Stakeholder Management experience is absolutely essential here. There will be some difficult wrestling matches when implementing this new strategy, so someone who is seasoned and is accustomed to such conversations will be much better placed for this kind of role.

The role will lead and manage tactical and strategic projects and initiatives concerning master data (single sources of truth), integrations, data classifications, hierarchies, glossaries and cleansing. Read on for more detailsā€¦

Experience Required:

  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar senior role in a Professional Services organisation
  • Demonstrable experience of liaising with and influencing up to C-suite and partners
  • Able to effectively translate and accurately communicate technology matters to senior technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Able to manage stakeholdersā€™ expectations when delivering complex change to deadlines
  • Commercially aware, with a results oriented, pragmatic approach
  • Professional manner, with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively
  • Inquisitive and tenacious, with an ability to challenge constructively where and when appropriate
