£105-125k Base + Bonus & Benefits

Robert Half have partnered with a UK based leading law firm. In the last 6 years they've more than doubled in size and now employ over 650 people. Technology plays a huge role in the continued success and growth and with that they're seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Data to lead their newly established data team and drive the development and implementation of their data strategy.

Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), this pivotal role will ensure the firm's data management solutions are fit for purpose and provide tangible business benefits.

A Summary of the Key Responsibilities:

Strategy and Leadership

  • Develop and guide the firm's data strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Data Analytics and Reporting

  • Enhance the firm's analytics and reporting capabilities by developing a Data Target Operating Model.

Data Innovation and Projects

  • Provide thought leadership in emerging Data Engineering, Data Science, and AI to enhance decision-making.

Data Governance, Security, and Confidentiality

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement best practices for data governance and security.

Engagement and Management

  • Provide leadership and development opportunities to the data team, fostering a culture of high performance.

Knowledge and Technical Skills:

  • Background in a similar position
  • Proven experience in data migration, data warehousing, and reporting projects.
  • Strong knowledge of BI toolsets, Data Warehousing technologies, and AI.
  • Solid understanding of data lifecycle management and data governance frameworks.
  • Expertise in UK GDPR, Data Protection Act, and SRA guidelines.
  • Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) qualification preferred.
  • Strong relationship management and influencing skills at a senior level.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize business needs while maintaining compliance and security standards.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the firm.
