As the Head of Data Governance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, integrity, and security of our client's data. You will lead a team of talented data professionals and be responsible for the following:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework and strategy aligned with the organisation's goals and objectives.
  • Define and enforce data quality standards, policies, and procedures to ensure accurate and reliable data across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to establish data management best practises, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards.
  • Drive the adoption of data governance practises and provide guidance and support to business units in implementing data governance initiatives.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to data governance policies.
  • Lead and manage a team of data governance professionals, providing coaching and mentoring to foster a high-performing and cohesive team.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in data governance, ensuring the organisation is equipped with the latest tools and practises.

Candidates Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in leading implementation of data governance frameworks and data quality processes with a global organisation.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to lead data governance on a global scale, encouraging new and innovative solutions to drive data governance and management efforts.
  • Significant experience in ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across systems.
  • Extensive experience with a variety of reporting and analytical tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or SAS.
  • Excellent communications skills with the ability to develop, engage and manage working relationships with key stakeholders on a global scale and from diverse business functions.
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Experience in chairing forums and encouraging shared learning and solutions with the ability to translate complex technical information.
