Our client, a public sector body based in Canary Wharf, are looking to bring on an IT Operations Associate. Please note that this is not a technical role.
You will be at the forefront of delivering their IT roadmap, collaborating with internal stakeholders, and championing the adoption of key Microsoft platforms. You will also work closely with senior leaders and suppliers, ensuring compliance in procurement and fostering strong partnerships. This is an opportunity to combine technical expertise with creativity and leadership, shaping the future of IT operations within our organisation.
The successful applicant will:
- Deliver effective internal stakeholder engagement, leveraging tools like the organisation’s intranet and online workshops.
- Support the development and rollout of the Microsoft 365 product suite to meet user and business needs.
- Identify and address training opportunities for staff in IT platforms, collaborating with Learning and Development colleagues.
- Ensure supplier purchase orders and invoices are processed within deadlines, supporting budget reporting and forecasting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring key milestones like licensing and product upgrades are met.
- Act as a champion for IT policies and procedures, fostering best practices across the organisation.

Experience required:
- Working in IT-related roles, including some with a customerfacing component.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, including supporting the delivery of training and championing best practice.
- Demonstrable knowledge of the Microsoft 365 product offering and the ability to support its rollout in different operational contexts.
- Experience of working with outsourced suppliers.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Applying of the the relevant management systems, procedures, policies and training related to risk management, health and safety, information security, data protection and business continuity.
- Applying and managing the diversity and equality policy and practice pertinent to the role.
- Demonstrable knowledge of the fundamentals of budget development, including using budget management systems.
- Experience in public sector and/or regulatory organisations.
