Kubernetes Platform Engineer – London – Hybrid 3 days onsite - Up to £750/day Outside IR35
Our client a commodities trading firm is seeking a Kubernetes Platform Engineer who will be responsible for designing and implementing an on-prem Kubernetes platform. This platform will run and host cloud-native applications for our clients trading, operations, supply chain and corporate functions
Key Responsibilities
- The design and architecture of the on-premises Kubernetes infrastructure.
- Configuring and implementing Kubernetes components
- Building the Kubernetes working nodes and integrating them into the current on prem infrastructures
- Creating Kubernetes cluster networking models
Candidate Technical Skills / Role Requirements:
- In depth knowledge and experience of Kubernetes architecture and networking, with 5+ years of experience building Kubernetes in production environments
- Previous experience with Kubernetes cluster operating tools such as Linux
- Previous experience with Rancher
- Previous experience with Kubernetes deployment tools
- A deep understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, GitOps)
- Robust skills in cloud native languages such as Python.
- Previous experience and an understanding of working in a highly regulated environment.
