Technical Director of Product (LED/LCD Displays)

About the Role

Our client are a market-leading media and advertising company specializing in innovative, high-impact digital display solutions, prominently featured in major airports, train stations, and other high-traffic areas. They are seeking a passionate and driven Director of Product to lead their efforts in the development, management, and delivery of cutting-edge LED/LCD display solutions tailored for out-of-home advertising.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Development and Management:Oversee the lifecycle of digital signage solutions, from specification and design through to prototyping, manufacturing, and delivery.
  • Supply Chain and Vendor Management:Manage relationships with 3rd party integrators and suppliers to ensure high-quality, customized LED/LCD display solutions.
  • Team Leadership:Lead a small, focused centre of excellence team, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and fostering collaboration.
  • Market Awareness and Innovation:Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and new technologies to ensure products remain at the forefront of the out-of-home advertising market.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with engineering and technology teams to align product specifications and innovations with the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Performance Management:Monitor and drive the performance of products developed and delivered through third-party suppliers and partners.
  • Strategic Focus on Innovation:Explore new applications and opportunities for product innovation in digital signage for advertising displays, ensuring solutions align with client and market demands.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Technical Expertise:In-depth knowledge of LED/LCD technology, including supply chain management and the latest trends in display solutions.
  • Leadership and Team Management:Proven experience leading small teams and managing cross-functional collaborations.
  • Vendor and Supply Chain Management:Demonstrated ability to manage third-party suppliers and integrators for customized product solutions.
  • Product Lifecycle Management:Experience managing the entire lifecycle of a product, from design through to delivery, with a focus on quality and innovation.
  • Industry Knowledge:Strong understanding of the out-of-home advertising sector, including trends, competitor analysis, and customer requirements.
