A Government Department are seeking an IT and Contracts Manager to manage the whole ICT landscape including cloud services, cloud infrastructure and security. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Operations, you will negotiate and manage IT contracts and oversee the day-to-day coordination of ICT operations with third-party suppliers. Responsibilities will also include developing Information Security strategies for the department

Responsibilities will include: -

  • Ensuring the security, confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all in-house and outsourced IT systems.
  • Ensuring all outsourced IT service contracts provide effective service that meets organisational needs within agreed service levels and budgets.
  • Ensuring a coherent ICT architecture and data design to securely support business requirements.
  • Ensuring customer-focused ICT solutions and service delivery align with industry best practice and security standards.
  • Ensuring the continual optimisation and improvement of all IT systems by working with staff to gather customer insights to understand their IT requirements and implement IT solutions that modernise ways of working and improve operational performance.
  • Actively managing relationships with all third-party suppliers to ensure that all contractual obligations are being met, ensuring the continual review of performance against agreed KPI's, SLA's and budgets, providing challenge and agreeing remedial action where necessary.

Experience Required: -

  • Relevant IT Degree or qualification (E.g. Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply certification, Certified ScrumMaster or Product Owner, Technical Security Qualification, Cloud Certification) or Extensive demonstrable experience in the discipline
  • Experience of managing complex IT environments ideally with a strong,knowledge of Technology and its implementation within Business environments
  • Experience of contract management including contract negotiation and accountability with multiple third-party support partners.
  • Experience writing IT strategies, policies and business continuity plans.
  • Experience in budget management and monitoring (in excess of £1m)
  • Experience of Cloud environments, including Azure
  • Experience of Document Management systems, particularly SharePoint.
  • Proven track record of strong communication skills especially cross department project coordination.
  • Strong experience with contract management and risk management
