A skilled IT Manager with at least 3 years of experience is needed to join our team at The Hub based in London on a full-time basis.

About Us

The Hub Digital Operations Platform is an AWS cloud-based middleware platform. Our platform is currently live-in-market in multiple verticals including transport where we are providing embedded software application and back-office services for ticket vending machines, handheld devices, ETMs etc. for 2 of the top 5 bus/coach companies in the UK as well as EMV, ITSO & barcode certified validators and associated back-office to the largest combined authority in the UK.

The Hub's technical USP is a mission-control dashboard called 'Commander' which covers a broad range of functions from 24/7 real-time remote monitoring & management of any device (e.g., ticketing, laboratory or educational) and data touchpoints to help desk digitisation, web/data management, CRM and other functions which increase client uptime and improves both end user and operator experience in the relevant verticals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the company's internal IT infrastructure and ensure all relevant security certifications are obtained
  • Perform IT health checks and housekeeping activities
  • Assist in testing of newly developed features and solutions
  • Ensure SLA and KPI targets are met for Incident, problem, and service request management
  • Work with the internal team to ensure IT project deliverables are understood and timeframes are adhered to
  • Work independently and with team members to deliver project goals
  • Manage 3rd party suppliers
  • Assist in the implementation of The Hub Platform for new and existing clients
  • Monitor and report on progress against agreed objectives, ensuring that issues of concern are raised in a timely manner and solutions proposed
  • Work with the Project Manager in developing a project plan as well as maintaining an issues and risk register along with other project management documents
  • Work closely with clients to accurately gather requirements
  • Develop a comprehensive functional requirement document for each project
  • Management of change requests & approvals in relation to the project plans
  • Regularly demo The Hub's platform to existing as well as potential clients
  • Ensure centralised documentation of solutions as well as associated source code and storage in correct central repositories, to maintain accuracy of information
  • Support the bid team when they require some technical input whilst filling out bid applications and subsequently getting involved in demo planning and execution
  • Assist in responding to Support Desk queries

Required Experience: 

  • IT related University degree (BSc and above) or equivalent professional qualifications with at least 3 years working experience in IT roles similar to those in this job description
  • Experience in Application Support, DevOps & Cloud computing (AWS)
  • Technical expertise in SQL, Unix, Spring Framework, Java is preferred
  • Hands-on experience on ITIL operational processes
  • Experience in Change Management
  • Experience in Network Systems and configurations
  • Experience in tools such as Teamwork, Jira, etc
  • Experience in software testing and analysis
  • Strong interpersonal skills (develop and maintain relationships with clients)
  • Good organisational skills with an ability to adopt good practices to maximise efficiency
  • Good level of spoken English and communication
  • Some project management experience a plus
  • Excellent written documentation and verbal communication skills
