Our client hasan exciting opportunity for an IT Project Coordinator to join their team in London, Docklands. You will join them on a fulltime,permanentbasis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of up to £35,000 per annum + excellent benefits (travel allowance, bonus scheme, pension, life assurance, income protection + private health care) 

The IT Project Coordinator working hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm

The Company is the pioneering data centre colocation provider, an owner operator of Tier III data centres, connectivity and managed ICT solutions to over 2000 market leading corporations around the world. In the UK their Docklands data centre campus facilitates the majority of the London Internet Exchange’s (LINX) capacity, meaning that they support a huge proportion of all UK internet traffic, making their Docklands campus a globally important internet hub.

The IT Project Coordinator role overview:

Working alongside the IT Programme Manager, applying structure and governance to projects whilst also taking on smaller Application projects, and assisting with IT Infrastructure and Network projects.

Key Tasks:

  • To assist in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of project activities within the Programme stack and providing support to the Programme Manager and IT Management Team.
  • To collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables and build out the project requirements to reflect the findings and assist with Project Governance.
  • To monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies by engaging with key stakeholders and ensuring detailed updates are provided and acted upon where necessary
  • To track project budgets, expenses, and resource allocation and escalate to IT Programme Manager when required for escalation and mitigation of limit violation
  • To prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, status reports, and meeting minutes including recoding in structured digital libraries and distribution to audience members with actions recorded and followed up.
  • To communicate project updates, milestones, and dependencies to stakeholders and formulate routine update schedules which align with the governance strategy of the project.
  • To support the resolution of project-related issues and conflicts by action or escalation to mitigate risks to the business.
  • To ensure adherence to project management best practices and methodologies as outlined and participate in the continuous improvement of the project process session with team members
  • To assist in the evaluation of project outcomes and lessons learned for project improvements and ongoing continuity of the project deliverables
