Reed Secure is a specialist provider of permanent, contract, temporary and outsourced recruitment solutions for security cleared professionals.
We require a Technical Project Manager to cover an existing workload within Counter Terrorism Policing, based in Empress State Building (Hybrid working).
This is an interim position for an initial 6 months with the potential to be extended, dependent on workload.
Key Responsibilities:
- To act as ICT Delivery Manager discharging appropriate activities (e.g. progressing relevant business case development).
- Own, develop and maintain a project plan and structure throughout each testing stage.
- Technical Expertise: Must have technical experience and expertise, including understanding technical requirements and liaising with technical architects and business analysts.
- Project Management: Ability to manage and build plans, understand business cases, and articulate requirements clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience: Previous experience in similar environments, working with suppliers or in-house development teams, and handling non-functional requirements.
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to translate complex technical details into layman’s terms and effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
Skills and experience needed to be successful in this role:
- SC level clearance is essential to apply.
- Experience of working on large scale Business Change and IT enabled Transformation Programmes.
- Experience of working in a complex high profile political environment.
- Experience of working in Central Government or Policing.
- Minimum of 10 Years’ experience working within public sector projects.
- Must be able to show ability to manage project budgets between £1m and £5m.
- Must be able to show ability to manage multiple suppliers including large IT Service providers.
- Has experience of engaging end users and board level executives to manage their perceptions.
