Stanton House is currently recruiting for an Interim SOX Consultant to join a Large Logistics Business on a 6-month Fixed-Term Contract paying up to £800 per day Outside IR35 (depending on experience). This role can be worked fully remotely. The successful candidate will independently develop, implement, and refine controls, leveraging their expertise to guide the organisation to compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key driver in achieving SOX compliance, implementing effective mitigation controls to meet compliance objectives within the established time line.
  • Address the need for SOX controls following a recent change in the company's fiscal year-end, building on documentation and gap analysis already conducted by an external agency.
  • Collaborate closely with process owners to design, implement, and enhance controls, providing hands-on support to advance the SOX compliance programme.
  • Focus on eliminating material deficiencies and ensuring readiness for SOX compliance attestation. The project scope may evolve as control testing progresses.

To be suitable for this role you must have the following:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Must have an in-depth understanding of SOX requirements, including the ability to address gaps in internal expertise and implement a comprehensive controls framework.
  • Hands-on SOX compliance experience with a proven track record of implementing controls and leading SOX readiness initiatives.
  • Strong experience working with process owners and key stakeholders, including finance leadership, IT teams, and internal audit.
