Rate: £650 - £700 per day (Inside IR35)Location: 2 days per week on-site in London

Overview:

We are looking for an exceptionally skilled Enterprise Security Architect with deep expertise in SABSA, to join a high-profile public sector project. This is a non-negotiable requirement - the candidate must have hands-on experience applying the SABSA methodology in a top-down security design process. The role also requires active SC clearance until 2028, and the ability to tackle security challenges across a range of critical domains. Your expertise will span IAM, cloud security, vulnerability management, and other critical security areas. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise security architectures within a highly regulated public sector environment.
  • Mandatory focus on SABSA: Design security frameworks using the SABSA model, ensuring top-down alignment with business objectives and security governance.
  • Expertly apply security standards and frameworks such as NIST, HMG, and SABSA to create robust, compliance-driven solutions.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to define security policies, controls, risk management strategies, and ensure that security architectures align with strategic goals.
  • Offer technical leadership on the integration of security solutions across complex IT environments, with a focus on critical infrastructure and services.
  • Lead security assessments, identify and mitigate risks, and develop comprehensive security strategies across a multi-cloud ecosystem.
  • Maintain a pulse on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices, ensuring all security measures are future-proof and in line with the latest trends.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing insights and expertise to continuously enhance the organization's security posture.
Key Requirements:
  • Active SC clearance until at least 2028 - this is an absolute must-have for the role.
  • In-depth, hands-on experience with SABSA in designing and implementing top-down enterprise security architectures. This is non-negotiable.
  • Proven expertise in multiple security domains including Identity and Access Management (IAM), cloud security, and vulnerability management.
  • Extensive experience in applying NIST, HMG, and other security frameworks, with a demonstrated ability to align security architecture with these standards.
  • Deep understanding of risk management principles, IT security best practices, and compliance protocols in a public sector context.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence senior leaders and technical teams alike.
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative environment to solve complex security challenges under tight deadlines.
