Fully Remote Linux System Administrator  Are you a skilled Linux System Administrator looking for the flexibility to work 100% remotely? Do you want to join a leading, well-established software platform that values your expertise and offers a dynamic and collaborative work environment?  We are seeking a Linux System Administrator to join this great team. This is a fully remote role; however, candidates must be based in the UK and eligible to work in the UK.  About the Role:As a Linux System Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimising their Linux-based systems, ensuring they run smoothly and securely. You will work closely with the development and operations teams to support and enhance the software platform.  Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain Linux systems, with a focus on Debian-based distributions.
  • Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve system and application issues.
  • Ensure system security and reliability through regular updates and proactive monitoring.
  • Optimize system performance to meet the needs of a high-traffic software platform.
  • Use version control tools such as Git to manage configurations and deployments.
  • Support PHP-based applications and ensure seamless integration with the system.
Key Requirements:
  • A minimum of 4 years of Linux system administration experience.
  • Proficiency with Debian, PHP, and Git.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset  
Desirable but Not Essential:
  • Experience working in a hosting company or a similar environment.
