JRRL are delighted to be working with a dynamic engineering consultancy, who are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Technical Administrator, to support their engineering team and ensure the smooth operation of engineering activities. Key Responsibilities of the Technical Administrator:
- Produce and manage a variety of documents, including flow charts, policies, procedures, and commissioning documents at both business and project levels.
- Maintain and optimise the standardised filing structure for all projects and design activities.
- Coordinate procurement activities, such as raising purchase orders, obtaining quotes, and tracking project progress while liaising with suppliers and contractors.
- Support pre-qualification processes by consolidating necessary documentation.
- Assist engineering and proposals teams in developing estimating and proposal documents, including document registers and filing systems.
- Support engineers with technical tasks such as data entry, report generation, design filing, and maintaining technical records.
- Arrange cost-effective travel and accommodation for site visits, client meetings, and supplier engagements.
- Schedule meetings, manage calendars, and prepare/distribute documentation.
- Maintain Action Trackers and take meeting minutes, distributing them as needed.
- Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and timely resolution of queries.
Key Skills & Experience required for Technical Administrator:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a technical (ideally engineering) environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong time management skills to ensure timely completion of multiple tasks.
- High attention to detail, ensuring the presentation of clear and high-quality documentation.
- Understanding of project coordination, including awareness of planning and milestones.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and office management software.
- Experience in scheduling/resource planning is desirable.
- An interest in engineering is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement.

The Technical Administrator is a full time, permanent position. The salary range reflects the candidate's level of experience. The lower end of the band is suited for individuals who may require additional training to meet the role's requirements, while the higher end is for candidates who possess the exact skills and experience outlined above
