BI Analyst / BI Developer - PowerBI, DAX, T-SQL, SQL Server, SSIS/ADF (ETL), SSAS , SSRS, Dashboards, Reporting Functionality. London / Remote (Hybrid, 3/2). Contract, Inside IR35 - £650 - £750 p/day Contract Rate.

BI Analyst / BI Developer required by global Law Firm to assist with the development of core reporting functionality in PowerBI and SSRS, using DAX and T-SQL.

This is a contingent contract assignment to address urgent project issues, migrations and configurations of PowerBI dashboard and reporting technologies with a focus on finance data within the Law Firm. You will need to be available immediately or within 1-2 weeks’ notice.

The BI Analyst / BI Developer will work within the full life cycle of Dashboard Development / Reporting Functionality development which will include:

  • Engaging with stakeholders in Finance Teams to understand reporting needs and create Dashboard designs
  • Work with ETL Data Engineers to Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) data from data warehouses
  • Manipulate data into usable and meaningful information
  • Create insightful solutions that support business decisions
  • Use additional techniques and skills to improve reporting functionality such as Azure DevOps CI/CD Pipelines, Dataverse/Power Platforms, Elite3E (Law Firm Practice Mgmt), MS Dynamics

We are searching for candidates who will be able to adapt quickly to this environment, advising on best practice and solving complex technical issues within the Business Intelligence Analysis / BI Development space. You will be able to bring expertise to the team across the following areas:

  • SQL Server, T-SQL inc Stord Procedures, SSAS (inc Tabular models), SSRS
  • MS Power BI - Dashboard Development, Reporting Functionality; DAX / MDX Programming
  • Datawarehouse design and optimisation including OLAP models
  • ETL/ELT with SSIS/ADF (Azure Data Factory); Azure Data Warehousing
  • PowerBI Dashboard design (Visual UI / UX) and enhancement
  • Desirable - Azure DwH / PowerApps / MS Dynamics / Elite 3E, Law Firm environment experience

You will be confident in your abilities to adapt quickly and possess excellent communication skills with an ability to work closely with Finance teams and applicable finance data.
