Finance Systems Lead (SAP BPC)

Role Overview

As the Finance Systems Lead with SAP BPC experience, you will play a pivotal role in the integration and management of the company's finance systems. This is a hands-on role that involves overseeing system users, leading system enhancements, and supporting data automation and integration across wider finance IT systems.

The company is undergoing an ERP migration to S4 HANA, with approximately 2 years left in the migration timeline. The individual will focus on finance reporting and the migration from ECC to S4.

Looking for someone with a strong finance perspective who can work with IT to drive the migration and transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and Manage SAP BPC Integration: Ensure seamless data flow between SAP S/4HANA and other systems. Lead and support the integration of SAP BPC and related finance systems.
  • System User Support: Oversee finance system users, providing essential support and training to ensure efficient use of the system.
  • Drive Automation & Data Process Improvements: Collaborate with IT and the finance team to automate and streamline data processes.
  • Ownership of System Updates & Enhancements: Take ownership of system updates, enhancements, and troubleshooting, ensuring business requirements are met efficiently.
  • Collaboration with Key Stakeholders: Work closely with the Finance Systems Director and CIO to ensure systems align with business needs and broader IT transformation goals.
  • Manage Data Warehousing & BW Reporting: Oversee data warehousing and Business Warehouse (BW) reporting requirements for the finance team.
  • Support Acquisitions Integration: Assist the business during acquisitions, ensuring smooth integration with minimal disruption to financial systems.
  • ERP Transformation Projects: Lead projects related to the ERP transformation (S/4HANA), delivering finance systems solutions that align with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Stay Updated on SAP BPC Developments: Maintain awareness of the latest developments in SAP BPC and related systems, providing strategic input as required.

Experience

  • Finance/Accountancy Background: Strong experience in finance systems, particularly SAP BPC.
  • Experience with SAP BPC & BW: Extensive experience with SAP BPC and Business Warehouse (BW), including data integration and automation.
  • Leadership in Finance Systems: Proven experience in leading system integrations, upgrades, and managing finance systems.
  • IT Transformation Project Experience: Solid experience working on large-scale IT transformation projects, particularly in SAP BPC.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to manage a diverse range of stakeholders, working cross-functionally between finance, IT, and external vendors.
  • Global Organisation Experience: Previous experience working in global organisations with a strong understanding of business-critical systems and processes.
  • Project Management: Able to manage complex, time-sensitive projects while ensuring high levels of system integrity.
  • Contractor or Third-Party Experience: Previous experience working in a contractor or third-party systems integration (SI) environment would be beneficial.
  • Bridge Between IT & Finance: Comfortable working with both technical teams and business teams, bridging the gap between finance and IT.
