Exciting opportunity for a 1st Line Support Engineer to join a small and dynamic IT team. This role is ideal for someone with a deep passion for technology, eager to solve complex problems, and contribute to the advancement of our operations and their own expertise.

They are looking for an IT professional who ideally has some similar IT Support experience but are open to individuals who have recently completed degrees/apprenticeships etc (ideally including placement/hands on work).

Day to Day of the role:

  • Provide IT support, resolving a variety of IT queries independently and in collaboration with vendors to ensure user satisfaction and smooth business operation.
  • Manage IT resources, tracking, maintaining, and updating hardware and software to meet operational and security standards.
  • Assist in IT financial management, organizing expenditures to support effective budget management.
  • Develop and update IT documentation, including training materials and policy documents.
  • Contribute to IT innovation and efficiency, automating tasks and optimizing workflows through IT Labs initiative.
  • Participate in software development, from conceptual development to user training, and potentially engage in programming on selected projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of computing systems and networking principles.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting common issues with devices and software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • GCSE Maths & English: Grade C or above. Further education is desirable.

Desirable Skills:

  • Introductory knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
  • Basic programming skills in JavaScript and Ruby.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Tools (Power BI, PowerApps, Power Automate).
