A renowned global fashion group, with over 30 years of experience in fashion and sports, is seeking a Senior Girlswear Designer to join their team. Known for its seamless approach to designing, developing, and distributing high-quality apparel worldwide, this company champions brand identities and creates innovative, luxury collections.

The Senior Girlswear Designer will be responsible for leading the design and creative direction for girlswear, creating stylish, on-trend seasonal collections across a wide range of product categories. This role requires expertise in girlswear design, construction, and fabric sourcing, along with the ability to design cohesive capsule collections. The designer will work closely with the Head of Design to ensure designs remain true to the brand's aesthetic, while keeping them forward-thinking and commercially viable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead girlswear design for a global market, covering categories from jersey and sweats to knitwear and outerwear.

  • Manage the development of seasonal collections, ensuring alignment with the brand's vision.

  • Oversee the design process from concept to completion, meeting critical path deadlines.

  • Source and select high-quality fabrics and materials.

  • Develop season-appropriate color palettes and technical specifications.

  • Present collections to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Analyze market data to inform design decisions and collaborate with production teams.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field.

  • Experience in girlswear or women's fashion design is essential.

  • Proven ability to create commercially viable collections for teen and womenswear markets.

  • Strong technical drawing and CAD skills (Adobe Suite).

  • Experience with fabrics, textiles, and production processes.

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
