?? Document Controller - £32,000 to £35,000�? Architectural Design & Build Firm - Central London (Oxford Circus)

Join a dynamic and creative team at a leading architectural design and build firm, based in the heart of Central London. Just a short walk from Oxford Circus, this is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented Document Controller to play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of projects from concept to completion.

?? The Role:

As the Document Controller, you'll be responsible for managing and maintaining project documentation across multiple high-end architectural and interior design projects. You'll ensure accuracy, compliance, and version control - working closely with architects, designers, contractors, and consultants.

??? Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and maintain document control systems and protocols for each project
  • Manage electronic and paper filing systems, ensuring easy retrieval of key documents
  • Track and control incoming and outgoing documentation (drawings, reports, plans etc.)
  • Ensure all documents are version-controlled and archived appropriately
  • Liaise with project managers and design teams to ensure timely submission and review of documentation
  • Upload and manage documents using document control software (such as Asite, Aconex, 4Projects or similar)
  • Assist with the compilation of O&M manuals and handover documentation
  • Monitor deadlines for document submissions and issue reminders as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with internal and client document standards
?? Typical Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a Document Controller role, ideally within architecture, construction or engineering
  • Familiarity with industry-standard document control systems (Asite, Aconex, Viewpoint, etc.)
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word)
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • A proactive and team-oriented approach
  • Understanding of architectural drawings and construction documentation (desirable)
