Salary: Competitive (Inside IR35)
Location: Aldermaston - 3 days per week on site as required for needs of the business. The number of onsite days may fluctuate depending on workload and project requirements.

Role Overview:
Responsible for delivering designs for the Facility Design Authority (FDA) to ensure that utilities, infrastructure, engineering processes, equipment, and facilities meet all legislative, regulatory, and engineering design requirements throughout the facility's lifecycle.

Key Accountabilities:
- Uphold high personal standards in environmental, safety, health, security, and quality matters while contributing effectively as a team member.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards associated with design engineering.
- Apply expertise to ensure designs adhere to all necessary legal, technical, and safety requirements.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned through Chief Engineer - - Management Arrangements, with appointed individuals documented in the Company Design and Technical Authorities database.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with Company Assurance, Environment, Safety, Health, and Quality (ESH&Q) policies and statutory obligations.
- Maintain design intent throughout the project lifecycle.
- Apply engineering standards appropriately and promote best practices.
- Escalate concerns to the Principal Engineer when necessary.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure design consistency and integration.

Top Essential
- HNC/HND or a higher qualification in Mechanical Engineering, complemented by relevant experience.
- Background in a highly regulated sector.
- Incorporated Engineer status or an equivalent professional qualification.

Essentials
- HNC/HND or higher in Mechanical Engineering with applicable industry experience.
- Membership of a recognised engineering institution.
- Incorporated Engineer qualification or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a highly regulated environment.
- Preferably has worked within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Comfortable working to strict deadlines.
- Capable of both independent and team-based work.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
