Assistant UnderwriterAcquinex is a specialist Managing General Agency focussed on providing bespoke mergers and acquisition (M&A) related insurance products on small to mid-market deals across Europe.  We have offices in Spain, Denmark, Germany, Poland and the U.K (London and Bristol).Role and opportunityWe are seeking an underwriting assistant to assist and support our UK warranty and indemnity (W&I) underwriting team with the management of its underwriting workload.  The role represents a great opportunity to work with and learn from experienced and respected legal and insurance professionals in a relaxed, non-hierarchical environment. As a W&I underwriting assistant at Acquinex, you will provide support regarding all the operational and administrative aspects of the business and will regularly interact with brokers to ensure the smooth operation of the underwriting function.  The position is permanent and full time and will be based out of either our London or Bristol office. It is ideally suited to an experienced administrator or PA or a graduate looking to obtain relevant experience for a future career in law, insurance or M&A.RequirementsThe ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
  • a proven desire to work within M&A
  • previous work experience in an office-based environment (such as a law firm, insurer, broker or other relevant organisation) is preferred
  • committed, motivated and keen to learn
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills, with excellent attention to detail
  • must be an organised individual with good time management skills
  • an ability and willingness to work independently and as part of a team across business areas, both in the office and as part of remote teams
  • proficient in Microsoft Excel.
