Our client, a Lloyd's Broker specialising in Marine Insurance, is looking for a Senior Account Handler/ Broker Back Up to join their expanding Marine department in their London office. The purpose of the role is to manage a portfolio of marine accounts and support the Hull & War team.
Main Duties:路 Manage a portfolio of accounts within a sub-team of 5, including Brokers and Account Handlers路 Prepare open market MRC slips, facility declarations, and endorsements路 Submit MRC slips to the Whitespace platform or via email to Underwriters路 Handle renewals, adjustments, and risk processing in the broking system路 Submit A&S premium LPANs to DXC Technologies路 Provide technical support to Placing Brokers in the Hull & War team路 Collaborate with the Accounts/Finance team for payments and reconciliations路 Attend team meetings and assist with ad-hoc projects
Essential Skills Required:路 5+ years of experience in the London Insurance Market路 Marine Hull & War experience, with multinational exposure路 Strong knowledge of MRC slip preparation and premium processing路 Ability to use placing platforms (Whitespace preferred)路 Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage time effectively
Desirable:路 Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)路 CII qualifications (or equivalent)路 Knowledge of Italian is a plus路 Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
