Purpose of the Role
We are seeking a Claims Adjuster to join our client’s well-established and market leading Claims team. This role involves handling claims while working alongside Senior Claims Adjusters, with a primary focus on supporting a newly established Cyber Underwriting team and an existing market-leading Errors & Omissions Underwriting team.
This position is ideal for an enthusiastic individual who enjoys problem-solving and seeks a new challenge within a dynamic, high-performing Syndicate. The role requires cross-class expertise and close collaboration with the Cyber Underwriting Team in developing a Claims Protocol, establishing a vendor panel, and contributing to product wordings as the underwriters build their new portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
- Handle claims of varying complexity within a predetermined authority level, in accordance with the client’s London Claims commitment, philosophy, and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to internal and external claims handling and customer service standards, including meeting SLAs and maintaining systems (e.g. ECF and DOCOsoft).
- Keep underwriters and internal stakeholders informed of valuable claims insights, issues, and their potential impact on underwriting and policy interpretation.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with external clients, brokers, and third-party experts.
- Communicate regularly with the wider Claims team, providing updates on relevant claims movements, issues, and trends.
- Provide general support to the team, assisting with ad hoc tasks or projects as needed.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
The successful candidate will:
- Have a demonstrable claims background with strong technical claims knowledge.
- Have a good working knowledge of London Market claims systems (e.g. ECF).
- Be confident in liaising with internal and external stakeholders and clients.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Enjoy problem-solving and demonstrate adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to work independently.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and similar applications.
- Be part ACII qualified or working towards ACII (desirable but not essential).
