Insurance Credit Controller / Specialist - HYBRID ROLE

Alexander Daniels Credit Division are pleased to be recruiting for an insurance credit controller / credit specialist on behalf of our client who operates within the insurance sector. Our client is an innovative and forward thinking company within the London Market Syndicate space.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A HYBRID ROLE THE COMES WITH LOTS OF FLEXIBILITY

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years credit control experience or in a similar role and MUST have Lloyds Syndicate Insurance experience.

Summary of Responsibilities;

  • Prepare and review the Monthly Aged Debt Report, ensuring accurate distribution to underwriters.
  • Manage underwriters' responses and feedback on aged debt, as well as communication with brokers.
  • Oversee the collection of aged debt for select syndicates.
  • Adjust PAS entries as needed to manage the aggregate gap between written and signed premium (e.g., review premium received to ensure correct allocation of funds).

Desired experience, attributes and skills wanted;

  • 3-5 years' experience in credit control or a similar role.
  • Previous experience within a Lloyd's Syndicate is essential.
  • Strong understanding of slips, endorsements, and premium calculations.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Able to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • A strong team player who is willing to support colleagues and contribute to team success.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.
  • Professional demeanour with excellent communication skills.
  • Adaptable and flexible in a dynamic work environment, with the ability to manage changing priorities.
