Prestigious Mayfair banking client is seeking well epxerience Loans Administration officer to join their Loans Operations Unit. The role is offered as hybrid which requires 3 days in the office and 2 from home.

As the Team Lead for Loan Operations (Loans), you will be responsible for oversee the day-to-day operations of our traded loan processes. This includes supervising an accurate and efficient processing, reporting and answering of queries relating to products handled by Loans Admin Operations.

The supervisor must be able to identify and implement improvements to systems, processes, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and expand capacity volume.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small team of loan processing specialists (2) to ensure efficient and accurate processing of loan transactions specifically:
  1. Check / Authorise / Deal transactions, manual entries, payments and communications.
  2. Check / Authorise static data.
  3. Check / Authorise New Loans and Safe Custody
  • Monitor and review loan requests, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with bank policies and procedures.
  • Development of staff (including cross-training), systems and procedures.
  • People Management covering day-to-day people management and assisting the Loans Manager with written and verbal performance appraisals.
  • Review and maintain suspense accounts used within Loans Admin and ensure all suspense accounts are reconciled and reviewed monthly with aged items noted.
  • Assist with the operational risk framework for Loans Admin, the resulting KRIs, and ongoing monthly monitoring and reporting of the wider operational management reporting status.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce operational risks.
  • Stays up to date with industry regulations and best practices and ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Lead and participate in various projects related to loan operations, including system enhancements and process improvements.
  • Ad hoc tasks delegated by Manager Loans Operations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business or related field.
  • Must have experience in both syndications and variable rate loans
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in loan processing / operations in a bank.
  • Strong knowledge of loan processing and documentation requirements.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and best practices in loan operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in managing a team.
  • Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
