Are you an experienced pensions professional ready to take the next step in your career? Join our client's dynamic and supportive team as a Pensions Administrator, where you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality pension services to our members.
About the Role:
As a Pensions Administrator, you'll be responsible for administering both Defined Benefit (DB) and Defined Contribution (DC) pension schemes. Your attention to detail, strong communication skills, and knowledge of pension regulations will help ensure that our members receive accurate and timely information about their entitlements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process day-to-day pension administration, including joiners, leavers, retirements, transfers, and deaths.
- Administer pensioner payroll tasks including new pensioners, pension increases, and overpayments.
- Respond to telephone, written, and in-person pension enquiries with professionalism and accuracy.
- Support scheme events such as annual benefit statements and pension increases.
- Maintain member data with 100% accuracy and carry out regular data quality checks.
- Prepare and submit HMRC notifications and returns.
- Take ownership of specialist casework (e.g. divorce, trivial commutation) and support colleague training.
Please do not apply if you do not have the following experience:
- Significant experience in DB and DC pensions administration.
- Strong understanding of pensions legislation and HMRC guidelines.
- Excellent numerical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Highly organised and self-motivated, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to continuous improvement.
Desirable:
- Experience with Pensions Office or similar pension administration systems.
- Familiarity with member communications and engagement activities.
