I am delighted to be partnered with a global law firm in their search for a Billing Coordinator to join their London office. The role reports into the Billing Manager and works in a close-knit team of 6.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle a high volume of bills each month.
  • Review and edit pre-bills, generate accurate bills, and ensure timely dispatch via email/eBilling.
  • Promptly resolve and escalate eBilling queries.
  • Ensure adherence to UK VAT and Solicitors' Accounts Rules (SARs).
  • Assist Partners and Fee Earners with bill processing and administrative duties.
  • Provide comprehensive billing and eBilling support across multiple offices.
  • Maintain client and matter details.
  • Support working capital management and produce work-in-progress reports.
  • Generate and distribute billing performance reports.
  • Help establish a structured billing cycle.
  • Assist with managing client/matter rates.
  • Review and confirm billing accuracy.
  • Communicate effectively with Partners, Associates, and Secretaries.
  • Collaborate with eBilling, Revenue Control, Accounts Payable, Cashiers, Compliance, and other teams.
  • Process time transfers, edits, and disbursement write-offs.
  • Uphold high service standards for existing clients.

Experience Needed:

  • High level of accuracy and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work closely and professionally with people at all levels within the firm and with clients.
  • Capable of working unsupervised to strict deadlines, prioritizing and managing varying workloads.
  • Personable, reliable, well-organized, and willing to share knowledge with team members.
  • Ideally, 3 years' experience in a billing position within a busy, multi-currency law firm environment.
  • Knowledge of Solicitors' Accounts Rules and VAT for law firm billing.
  • Strong general computer skills, with proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Document Management Systems.
