This is a superb opening for a progressive candidate with a property underwriting understanding, ideally with a facultative understanding. This is an opportunity to join a reinsurance company which is about to undergo significant growth within the international facultative property area in London. As a group, other underwriting specialties are property treaty, financial lines, Surety, Personal Accident.
With a large presence in the LATAM market, this role will assist with the development of the property fac class outside of this remit. This role will offer responsibility and autonomy and will absolutely lead to making underwriting decisions and developing your authority ability.
Our client is reasonably flexible within this process, interested in candidates who may be at the Assistant Underwriter level looking for the next step up, or you could already have a small level of authority but don't see a genuine career move in front of you.
This role will suit someone with a more entrepreneurial approach, someone who doesn't necessarily want to work within a large corporate machine; this role offers the chance to be seen, someone who trusts in their ability to take responsibility seriously; some excellent training will be provided to set you up to succeed in this unique underwriting opportunity.
