Your new companyYour new company is one of the largest MGAs in the UK, with offices all over the UK that specialises in the SME to mid-market Property & Casualty business. They have fantastic relationships with their panel of brokers and put their clients at the centre of their underwriting strategy. Due to expansion within the Commercial New Business team a position for an Assistant Underwriter has arisen.Your new roleYour new role as an Assistant Underwriter means you will be working within the New Business Team undertaking lower complexity tasks including quote loading, Acturis quote referrals, outbound calls to brokers to help generate new business leads and provide enhanced service to brokers. You will have regular communication with the Trading Underwriters, Team Leaders and Trading Managers to maintain broker relationships and take initiative to improve work processes and promote overall corporate goals. Duties will also include working closely and effectively with the Team to ensure that all work is completed within SLA's and maintaining broker relationships with a high level of customer service.What you'll need to succeedYour previous experience in the insurance industry will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will have one year experience in insurance, excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent phone call manner and ability to actively listen. You will also have excellent communication, teamworking skills and organisational skills as well as, ideally, have 3 A-Levels with a minimum C grade. Ideally, you will have great knowledge of Microsoft products, an ability to perform under pressure, good problem-solving skills, a positive attitude, be reliable and dependable and working towards CII or already achieved it.What you'll get in returnFlexible working options available.You'll be offered a competitive salary of up to £30,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package.
