An opportunity for an experienced UK commercial underwriter to build and develop their career within an established insurance company based in the City of London.
The underwriting department is a fast-paced and dynamic environment working with a network of broker partners and dua cover holders.
Overview
- Underwrite a range of specialist commercial lines products within agreed limits.
- Proactively manage and develop relationships with broker partners
- Underwrite referrals from cover holders for risks that fall outside delegated authority limits
- Conduct cover holder reviews to ensure effective performance of schemes
What you need to show
- Solid experience of underwriting UK commercial risks
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills combined with a proven track record of relationship management
- Strong negotiating skills and abilities to empathise and influence
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while meeting set goals
What is on offer
- Salary can range from £45,000 to £65,000, depending on skills set and level of expertise
