We are seeking a Communications Advisor to develop & deliver the Press & external communications activity for this high profile, small but perfectly formed Department in the Public Sector.

Our client are a critical UK Executive Agency that operate as an arm's length body to a key Government Department.
Description
Be the 1st point of contact for all media and press enquiries
- Develop and implement communication plans that will include:
- Working with the CEO and Policy Lead to seek out appropriate press opportunities
- Building strong multi-channel media relationships
- Prepare all briefing documents, press releases and mandated communications
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies
- Liaise with stakeholders both internally and externally to keep relevant groups well informed regarding communications activity.
Profile
The successful Communications Advisor will be able to demonstrate a strong track record across the following:
- A proven track record managing time-critical and sensitive external communications particularly with UK press and media contacts ideally in the financial space.
- Working knowledge of UK government departmental press office or equivalent
- Demonstrable work across both the planning and delivery of external communications in all it's forms.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, taking a view to building long term relationships and credibly representing the organisation.
- Excellent analytical skills with a highly structured, organised, and meticulous approach to preparation of all communications
- Strong inter-personal skills with ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels
Job Offer
- Competitive Daily rate circa £220/day depending on suitability for the role
- Initial 6 month contract - with possibility to extend
- Hybrid working - 3 Days Based in the London office
- 36 Hr working week
