Great opportunity to take on this newly created role as Head of People for an international interior design consultancy with responsibility for their London offices as well as smaller EMEA teams.

The business has grown rapidly over the last couple of years and they are now looking for an experienced HR professional who will be responsible for shaping and driving their HR strategy, fostering an engaging and inclusive work environment and encouraging a positive work culture.  The goal is to promote corporate values and enable business success through human resources management, including recruitment, performance management, training & development, and health and safety.

Working closely with the senior management team, the Head of People will implement best practice HR procedures and processes, challenging and finessing current procedures to ensure continuous improvement in the changing needs of the business, as well as compliance with global employment laws.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent, overseeing the full recruitment process and managing onboarding and orientation programmes for all new hires.
  • Organising performance reviews, monitoring goals and ensuring all employees are fully supported in their development.
  • Serving as a point of contact for employees on ER issues
  • Developing and implementing employee engagement initiatives to promote a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture that reflects the company’s values and mission
  • Identifying training needs and working with the management teamto create development programs that enhance employees’ skills and career growth
  • Overseeing the enrolment and administration of employee benefits
  • Ensuring compliance with global employment laws and regulations
  • Analysing HR metrics and providing reports to senior management to help inform future decision making and ensure alignment with business goals

Previous experience of establishing a professional HR function within an SME or similar creative business will be essential for this position. The client is happy to consider candidates looking for either full-time or part-time employment (three days per week minimum) with at least three days per week (or pro rated equivalent) to be based at their offices in central London.
