With 400 hectares of development land, the company aims to deliver 50,000 high-quality new homes and create 20,000 new jobs by 2037.Their team of expert planners, developers, and project managers offers a full range of professional services and in-depth local knowledge to support investors and developers in achieving these prime opportunities.Your new roleThe Asset Manager plays a crucial role in delivering the company's development strategy. Reporting to Senior Development Managers and working closely with the Head of Asset Management, the Asset Manager assists in acquiring, managing, and developing commercial assets to regenerate the local borough. Key responsibilities include overseeing third-party property managers, instructing and managing external agents and surveyors, and assisting with new development projects. The role also involves reporting on portfolio performance, advising on strategy, and identifying opportunities for additional income generation.What you'll need to succeed
- Skilled in report writing and presenting to both public and senior management meetings.
- Confident negotiator and communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience in commercial property management or leasing of office, retail, and industrial spaces.
- Background in client-side or consultancy portfolio management, reporting directly to senior management.
- Working knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation, the service charge code, and valuation methodology.
- Familiar with property management systems such as Tramps and Yadi.
- Proficient in valuation and appraisal software like Proval and Argus.
- Experience working with or within Local Authorities.
- Understanding of asset management in the redevelopment process, including the town and country planning process, RIBA work stages, and the construction process.
- MRICS qualification.
