International bank in the City has an exciting opportunity for an individual to join as a Japanese speaking translator. The purpose of the role is to translate and edit Japanese equity research reports into English and assist in other aspects of production. Must be mother tongue English level with excellent Japanese language skills.

Finance Translator / Editor (Japanese to English) - Responsibilities:

  • Translate Japanese equity research reports into English (equity, macro, fixed income)
  • Review translated research for accuracy/consistency with the source Japanese
  • Edit translated research for readability and propose impactful titles for important reports
  • Assist with layout, formatting and disclosure generation- To cooperate with head quarter in Japan as necessary
  • Help create/manage translation resources

Finance Translator / Editor (Japanese to English) - Requirements:

  • Previous experience of equity/financial translation is essential
  • Good knowledge of equity equity/financial field
  • Basic comprehension of relevant rules and regulations in the UK, US and Japan-
  • Mother tongue level English, business level Japanese
  • Relevant PC skills including Word, Excel, Power Point, PDF
  • Translation degree is a plus
