DevSecOps Engineer - £86k - London (Twice Monthly)

Fancy being the go-to person for all things DevSecOps? We're on the hunt for a Lead DevSecOps Engineer to join a growing team, embedding security into the development process from day one. If you've got a strong development background and have evolved into security, this could be the perfect fit.

What you'll be doing:
  • Championing a DevSecOps-first approach, ensuring security is baked into development from the start.
  • Working closely with product and development teams to integrate security seamlessly into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Automating security checks to make security an enabler, not a blocker.
  • Handling risk assessments, secure coding practices, and security tooling implementation.
  • Supporting AI-driven and customer-facing products, including property management systems, tax tools, and regulated audit solutions.
  • Embedding security controls in CI/CD workflows to ensure scalable, automated security testing.
  • Managing security controls, best practices, and compliance reporting to senior stakeholders.
  • Providing expertise in vulnerability management, risk assessments, and penetration testing.
  • Working alongside an enterprise security architect to align with overall security strategy.
What we're looking for:
  • A strong development background, having transitioned into security.
  • Deep knowledge of the OWASP Top 10, risk assessments, and secure development lifecycle.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure (PaaS, DevOps, CI/CD capabilities).
  • Familiarity with security tools like Wiz and Trivy (highly desirable).
  • Excellent communication skills, able to engage with teams and present security concepts confidently.
  • Leadership potential - while there are no direct reports now, the role is expected to grow into a management position.
  • Consulting experience or working across multiple products would be a bonus.
  • Azure security certifications are nice to have but not essential.
What's on offer:
  • £86k salary with flexibility in hybrid working.
  • London-based role, but only one or two days in the office per month.
  • Two-stage interview process, with more office time expected in the first six weeks for onboarding.
  • A chance to shape the DevSecOps strategy for a growing team with exciting, AI-driven products.
