I am looking to speak with Competition Lawyers in London who are seeking an opportunity to work with one of the UK's leading antitrust practices. The opportunity on offer will allow you to work with the team's national and international clients on the most complex and high value competition enforcement, merger control, competition litigation and counselling matters in the market.The Team:
  • The Competition Team is recognised as one of the leading UK antitrust practices. They have five seasoned, non-contentious Partners located across London and Manchester, supported by a robust competition litigation team and dedicated staff. The team handles high-profile, complex, and high-value competition matters, including enforcement, merger control, and litigation.
  • They are at the forefront of cases across regulated sectors such as energy, financial services, telecoms, and rail. Their international footprint spans France, Germany, and Ireland, where their partners specialise in competition law.
  • Recent accolades include Competition and Regulatory Team of the Year by the British Legal Awards, with high commendations at The Lawyer Awards.
The Role:As an Associate in the Competition team, you will:
  • Work closely with senior colleagues on larger, high-impact cases and lead smaller-scale matters using strong project management skills to deliver solutions.
  • Play a crucial role in driving business development, contributing to both client targeting and growth strategies.
  • Support partners and manage key workstreams on a variety of matters, including merger control, foreign direct investment, cartel investigations, behavioural antitrust, vertical supply chain strategy, and industry-specific regulations (GSCOP, economic regulation in water, energy, transport, etc.).
  • Collaborate with their competition litigation team on significant, influential cases.
  • Take an active role in the team’s client development, fully engaging in business development activities to foster both new and existing client relationships.
The Candidate:
  • Be an established Competition Lawyer with a minimum of 2 years PQE, with solid experience in merger control and behavioural matters both in the UK and internationally.
  • Have the ability to apply competition law in commercial contexts, considering broader commercial and legal risks.
  • Be eager to join an award-winning practice offering varied and intellectually stimulating work.
