- Managing conflict checks on every new enquiry globally to identify and resolve both legal and commercial conflicts of interest.
- Review every new client and matter opportunity through analysis of internal and external information sources and advise partners globally in relation to conflicts and information barrier management.
- Advising partners and lawyers regarding conflict check results, processes and policies.
- Liaise with the Financial Crime team on the Matter Risk assessment.
The PersonThe requirements for the person for the role Conflicts Lawyer or Adviser based in London are as follows:
- As a minimum Law degree, ideally LPC
- Minimum of 12 months experience with a Law Private Practice with exposure to Conflicts
- Understanding of the legal and professional regime applying to conflicts of interest and confidential information
- Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
