Their clients operate in sectors such as construction, transport and infrastructure, banking and financial services, distribution and logistics, education and health, hotels and leisure, defence, engineering and surveying, charities, retail and energy and natural resources, as well as acting for many high-net-worth individuals.The firm's Construction Disputes practice operates across the public and private sectors, offering services in areas such as building safety, commercial developments, and dispute avoidance and resolution. The team's lawyers act for a wide range of clients including developers, major international or domestic contractors, consultants and public sector bodies such as central and local government, and social housing providers. Their experience extends across all the major contract forms (JCT, NEC, ICE, FIDIC, PPC and GC Works) as well as PFI and bespoke contracts.The successful candidate will be advising on domestic and international disputes on a wide variety of projects in the construction, engineering and infrastructure sectors. As part of the role, you can expect matters relating to residential developments, transport infrastructure (highways, rail, air and seaports), oil and gas refineries, sports stadia, hotels, power and desalination plants, water treatment, health care and waste to energy facilities. The team are also regularly involved in complex and high value disputes concerning issues of delay, variations, loss and expense, design and other professional liability, final account resolution, defect remediation and insurance. They represent clients in all major forms of dispute forum, including the English High Courts, international and domestic arbitration, adjudication, mediation and expert determination.The ideal candidate will have between 2-5 years' PQE in Construction Disputes gained at a reputable City or international law firm.
