A highly regarded international law firm with a strong reputation in the construction and engineering sector is seeking a Construction Disputes Solicitor (2-5 PQE) to join its London team. The firm advises a diverse client base, including developers, contractors, insurers, and investors, on complex and high-value disputes arising from major domestic and international projects.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious lawyer to work on high-profile and technically challenging disputes, gaining exposure to adjudications, arbitrations, and litigation in the Technology & Construction Court (TCC). The successful candidate will work closely with experienced partners and be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team.
Key Responsibilities:
Advising clients on contentious construction matters, including contract disputes, defects claims, professional negligence, and delay claims.Managing adjudications, mediations, arbitrations, and High Court litigation.Collaborating with colleagues across the firm, including those in the real estate, projects, and corporate teams.Drafting pleadings, witness statements, expert reports, and legal submissions.Supporting business development initiatives and fostering strong client relationships.
Requirements:
2-5 years PQE with a strong background in construction disputes (experience in both contentious and non-contentious work is beneficial but not essential).Experience in adjudication, arbitration, and/or litigation within the TCC.A strong academic record and excellent analytical and drafting skills.Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work as part of a collaborative team.Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to client service.
