Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide strategic legal advice on contracts and procurement matters to the Councils, Members, and Officers.
  2. Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts and procurement documents.
  3. Ensure compliance with relevant procurement regulations and laws.
  4. Handle disputes and provide solutions to contractual issues.

Ideal Candidate:

  1. Must be a qualified solicitor, barrister, or legal executive with a current practising certificate.
  2. Demonstrated experience in contracts and procurement law, preferably within Local Government.
  3. Strong understanding of public procurement regulations and commercial contract law.
