Job Description: Education Lawyer
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Education Lawyer to join our legal team, working closely with Children’s Services. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality, responsive legal advice on a broad range of education law matters. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the organisation meets its legal obligations and upholds the highest standards in education provision.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver clear, practical legal advice and support in all areas of education law, including Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal (SENDIST) proceedings, school admissions, exclusions, and Judicial Reviews.

Represent the organisation in legal proceedings and hearings, requiring confident and effective advocacy skills.

Work closely with internal departments, schools, and external stakeholders to ensure legal compliance and promote best practice.

Contribute to strategic decision-making, policy development, and case management.

Keep up to date with changes in legislation, case law, and best practice relevant to education law.
