The Firm

Our client is a highly reputable practice based in Central London who have received recognition by the Legal 500 for a multitude of their specialist departments.

The firm act for businesses all over the world and have a particular strength in the Financial Services, Technology and Professional Services sectors.

They boast a Legal 500 accredited FinTech and Financial Services department and are recognised as market-leaders in their field.

They are now looking to make multiple Associate level hires (from NQ - 3 yrs) to advise on both Fintech and Structured Finance.

The Opportunity

This is a brilliant opportunity for either a Newly Qualified Finance Solicitor or an experienced Finance Associate to join one of the largest and most experienced Financial Services departments outside the Magic Circle.

This highly successful team acts for start-ups, scale-ups, growth-stage FinTech's and more established financial institutions as well as corporate borrowers and lending platforms on their debt financing needs.

In this role, you will be working closely with two leading Partners recognised in their field on both established and new FinTech lending platforms and funders. Typical clients include UK and European lending platforms (both corporate and consumer lending), challenger bank and debt funds.

The work is split between the product side (helping FinTech platforms structure and document new consumer and SME credit products), and the funding side (structuring and documenting warehouse lines (based on LMA documents) and private securitisations.

As a Finance Solicitor you will be advising on:

  • Structuring and drafting standard term corporate and consumer lending and security documentation for lending platforms
  • Structuring lending platforms from a regulatory and commercial perspective
  • Structuring and drafting debt issuances and wholesale funding lines for lending platforms

Requirements:

  • Newly Qualified Finance Solicitor in the England & Wales who must have taken a minimum of one seat in Banking & Finance or Financial Services and has a genuine desire to qualify into Finance
  • Or a qualified Finance Solicitor with between 1 - 3 yrs PQE in FinTech and/or Structure Finance
  • Impressive academics; at least a 2.1 in Undergraduate Degree and a Commendation in LPC
