Team Structure:The firm’s expanding insurance dispute resolution team is part of a their leading commercial litigation group. The team advises insurers and policyholders, particularly in the marine sector, on complex disputes across various areas such as hull & machinery, war, liability, cargo, political risk, and yachts. They work with leading insurers and some of the world’s largest trading houses on high-profile and significant marine losses.We are seeking a mid-level associate with a passion for learning, intellectual curiosity, and a commitment to handling technically and legally challenging matters. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who takes pride in delivering top-tier client service and thrives in a collaborative environment.While marine or insurance knowledge is a plus, what is most important is solid experience in litigation or arbitration, a commitment to progress, and a rigorous intellectual approach with strong commercial awareness.Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation and drafting of clear, concise legal documents
  • Liaising with clients under the supervision of a partner
  • Managing junior associates, trainees, and paralegals
  • Developing internal and external networks to contribute to business development
  • Building excellent relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Assisting with business development and profile-raising initiatives (e.g., client seminars and recruitment activities)
  • Conducting legal research using internal and external resources
What We’re Looking For:
  • Qualified lawyer with 2+ years relevant litigation experience (insurance or general litigation)
  • Good academic and professional qualifications
  • Ability to manage and supervise concurrent matters effectively
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on client relationships and business development
  • Commercial awareness and focus on achieving profitable outcomes
