Are you an experienced legal professional with a strong background in commercial contracts? Do you have a passion for the healthcare sector? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a Legal Counsel to join our client's dynamic legal team within the healthcare sector.
Job Profile: As a Legal Counsel, you will work within a small in-house legal team, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements. You will provide guidance and legal advice on commercial matters to the wider business. This role requires a UK-qualified solicitor with adequate PQE, strong drafting skills, and in-house experience. You will have a fair degree of autonomy and the opportunity to work flexibly from home and in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle a wide range of commercial contracts, including general supply of goods and services agreements, consultancy services, IT agreements, PMI agreements, international referral and partnership agreements, clinical trial agreements, and more.
- Minimize risk and manage disputes arising from breaches of contract.
- Establish and maintain excellent working relationships within the hospital.
- Advise on changes in legislation affecting the hospital, its patients, and industries.
- Assist and deputize for the Senior Legal Counsel or Head of Legal on other matters as required.
- Draft and maintain policies relating to compliance, regulation, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Adequate PQE (all candidates will be considered on merit).
- In-house legal experience.
- Strong drafting skills and experience in a wide range of commercial contracts.
