Key Responsibilities and Required Skills:
- Provide comprehensive legal support and guidance to the Global Credit Finance business unit.
- Serve as the primary leveraged loans lawyer during a maternity leave cover.
- Act as the sole legal counsel based in London for the company's Global Credit Finance team.
- Primarily focus on the UK and European markets, with additional global support for the US business.
- Join a small, globally distributed legal team, with other members located in Boston.
- Collaborate closely with the business team in a hybrid working arrangement, with the majority of time spent in the London office (e.g., 3-4 days in the office, 1-2 days remote).
- Work independently with minimal supervision, stepping into the role of an experienced VP.
- Hold a qualification in English law; US law experience is an advantage but not essential.
- Possess extensive expertise in leveraged loans.
- Experience in fund finance and CLOs is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of UK and EU regulations (e.g., RRP, LIBOR) as relevant to the credit finance sector is required, though deep regulatory expertise is not necessary. Regulatory analysis and implementation will be part of the role.
