We’re looking for a practical and commercial-minded lawyer to join our legal team to support our sales team and our global monetization efforts. We’re a small and nimble commercial legal team supporting a growing business, so you’ll cover a lot of ground in this role.

What you’ll do:

  • Draft, review and negotiate a variety of advertising-related and commercial agreements, such as MSAs, data and other privacy terms, and other agreements with advertisers, ad agencies, partners, vendors and suppliers.
  • Assist German sales team with inquiries from advertisers and related negotiations regarding Pinterest’s ad services and data sharing terms
  • Provide strategic advice and support for our Sales, Revenue, Finance, and Customer Ops teams across US and international markets.
  • Provide cross-functional leaders with pragmatic and strategic advice to minimize legal risks while advancing business goals and initiatives.
  • Support the development of scalable solutions to allow the team the flexibility necessary to move quickly and efficiently.

Skills what we’re looking for:

  • JD, LLB, or European equivalent with 4+ years of experience negotiating complex commercial agreements; in-house experience is a plus.
  • German language skills at a professional level
  • Experience with issues related to digital advertising technology preferred.
  • Knowledge of privacy and data security law preferred, including the GDPR
  • Experience working with international teams and clients and advising on and negotiating cross-border deals.
  • Exceptional judgment and impeccable integrity with excellent communication skills.
  • Proven track record of business and solution oriented counseling in a fast-paced environment and under tight deadlines.
  • Eagerness to learn with an ability to embrace an entrepreneurial, flexible, and collaborative working style while maintaining a sense of humor.
  • Ability to identify, prioritize and resolve issues quickly and independently and drive cross-functional efforts to successful completion.
